Kanye West is under investigation for battery after he allegedly punched a fan in the face.
According to reports, Ye was in Los Angeles when a fan approached him and asked for an autograph when he was leaving a club. Ye got upset, jumped out of his car and punched him in the face, and then drove off.
TMZ also obtained video footage that shows Ye and two others approaching a white vehicle. Ye can be heard saying “Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not? ‘Cause that’s what happened right f*cking now.”
The clip was reportedly after the incident. A misdemeanor battery charge in California is “punishable by a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000), or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding six months, or by both that fine and imprisonment.”
Ye was just announced as one of the headliners for the upcoming Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which is scheduled to take place in April.
